Group Art Therapy

Each program focus's on fostering women’s empowerment, improving self-compassion and self-worth, while strengthening mental and spiritual health. Each journey is unique and each session is personalised to meet individual needs.

Group art therapy can be organised and tailored for groups of women with similar experiences on request. Group art therapy provides a safe space for women to explore their emotions, build resilience, and cultivate a sense of community with one another. Women are empowered to reclaim their narratives, develop healthy coping strategies, and shine brighter in all aspects of their lives.

About Jean

I am a trauma informed therapist with several years experience in crisis counselling, suicide prevention and postvention, grief and bereavement, and more recently, working with survivors of gender based violence. My passion for helping others evolved from my own lived experiences. Many may have heard the term "wounded healer". A wounded healer, coined by Carl Jung (1875-1961) is one who has developed empathy and understanding through their own struggles. My journey of healing began when I became a spirit filled Christian. In my own journey of recovery, I discovered who I am, what I believe, my value in the community and the importance of knowing my own self-worth.

My Vision

Is to provide accessible faith-based counselling and art therapy for diverse cultural backgrounds of women. My focus is to guide women to discover paths to a brighter and more fulfilling life through empowerment, building self-worth and self-compassion, improve coping skills and overall mental and spiritual health and wellbeing.

My Mission

As a compassionate, non-judgmental, practicing Christian, counsellor and art therapist, I am dedicated in providing a safe creative means for women to explore difficulties/challenges whilst improving coping skills and restoring mental and spiritual health and well-being. Everyone’s journey is unique, and the counselling and art therapy services offered are tailored to meet individual needs.

Through the counselling and/or art therapeutic processes, I can help women reduce the effects of trauma, grief, depression and anxiety, become empowered, set healthy relational boundaries, build self-worth, self-compassion and self-esteem and improve overall mental and spiritual health and well-being.

My commitment to you is to provide a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings, work through difficulties, and discover paths to a brighter and more fulfilling life.
